A good example of "peeling" bark
I saw these two young sycamores today,
growing in the woods along the road.
Isn't their peeling bark interesting?
These two trees are growing so close
to each other that I wonder if their
trunks might eventually grow together.
The image above shows the same two trees,
higher up on their trunks, and the image
below shows some of their crowns.
At the top, their bark is quite white.
